Which ghats are covered in the morning boat ride?

The ride covers major spiritual ghats including Dashashwamedh, Chet Singh Ghat, Harishchandra Ghat, Kedar Ghat, and reaches up to Assi Ghat before returning past Manikarnika.

Can we feed migratory birds during the boat ride?

Yes! Between October and March, thousands of Siberian gulls visit the Ganges in Varanasi. Bird food (sev/poha) can be fed directly from the boat as birds glide beside you.

Is morning boat ride suitable for elderly devotees?

Very peaceful and highly recommended. The river is calm, weather is cool, and there is minimal crowding on the water.

How do I reach the boarding point at Dashashwamedh Ghat?

Vehicles drop you at Godowlia crossing or Dashashwamedh entrance. Our boat coordinator meets you at the ghat steps and guides you directly to your reserved boat.

About This Boat Service

Witness the ethereal sunrise over the holy Ganges. Watch devotees performing morning Surya Arghya, chants echoing across ghats, and migratory birds flying above.

Boat Ride Details & Itinerary

"Subah-e-Banaras" (Morning in Banaras) is an immortal experience. Departing at dawn from Dashashwamedh Ghat, glide smoothly across the mist-shrouded waters as the golden sun rises above the horizon across the eastern bank.

Front row seats to Ganga Aarti without crowds

The boat captain anchored directly in front of the Dashashwamedh Aarti stage. We had tea and watched the entire Aarti from the river. Truly the best spiritual experience in Varanasi!

Magical sunrise cruise and bird feeding

We booked the morning sunrise motor boat. Hundreds of migratory birds flew around us and the sunrise view behind the temple spires was breathtaking. Life jackets provided and safe for kids.

Courteous boatman and zero bargaining hassle

Local boatmen at the ghats ask for arbitrary rates. Booking with Bharat Tourism gave us guaranteed clean seats, licensed boatman, and deepdan flower lamps included.
